Nikki ellis

Nikki is a registered physiotherapist who focuses on back and neck pain treatment and management. She is also a qualified Pilates instructor and has an interest in the biomechanics and injuries of horse riders.

In 1995, Nikki qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Leeds Metropolitan University and then went on to complete her MSc (Masters) in Manual Therapy full time at University College London, sitting her membership exams to qualify as a member of the Manipulation Association of Charted Physiotherapists in the UK in 2000. While working in the UK, Nikki was a visiting clinical lecturer and a student supervisor.

In 2002, she set up her own busy private practise, working closely with musculoskeletal doctors. During both her time with the NHS and in private practice, Nikki has worked extensively with musculoskeletal doctors and surgeons. Nikki moved to New Zealand in 2007 and has continued to develop her interest and post graduate training in spinal musculoskeletal pathologies and injuries, and continues to maintain close links with spinal surgeons.

Tony Forde

Tony qualified at Leeds university in 1998 with a physiotherapy honours degree. He went on to work for the largest teaching hospital in Europe, Leeds Teaching Hospitals, for 5 years. Here he rotated throughout multiple physiotherapy specialities before specialising in musculoskeletal injuries. After marrying, he travelled around the world for a year before setting up his own practice in the UK, treating many high-performance ultra-distance runners and cyclists. He also provided physiotherapy services to the Leeds Rhinos professional rugby league team.

Tony his wife and two children emigrated to New Zealand in 2009 and settled on the Hibiscus Coast. He has a particular specialist interest in shoulder injuries and work-based problems.

Tony has been keen squash player for a number of years. He regularly treats local players and has worked on the National Trans-Tasman Junior Squash tournament: this involved treating the top juniors players in New Zealand and Australia.

He is a hands-on physiotherapist who continually strives for the best outcomes for his patients: he provides best practice care through manual therapy and progressive rehabilitation programs. Tony is very friendly, well known and respected in the wider community.
